CPC Finland is one the most successful wind farm developers in Finland. We have successfully fully developed, financed and constructed four wind/solar farms with a total capacity of 417 MW, all of which have been non-recourse project financed. All the of the constructed projects are operated by CPC. The company has a solid portfolio in the late development phase, comprising more than 1000 MW.
CPC Finland is also a JV partner in the Köppö Energia Oy, who is developing a 200 MW green hydrogen / synthetic methanol project in Kristinestad, Finland. This is one the largest and most advanced Power to X projects in Finland. Furthermore, Koppö Energia Oy is developing together with Westenergy Oy, Finland’s largest carbon capture unit at Westenergy’s waste incineration site in Korsholm, Finland. Both of these projects are supported by the Finnish government when rewarded an investment subsidy totaling of 47M Euro from the Finnish Ministry of Economy.
History
In 1993, when the first serious wind energy systems began to emerge in Germany – at the time, mainly 500 kW turbines – an idea became reality: CPC. The industry needed strategists and planners to get the turbines available on the market into tangible and profitable projects. The parent company of CPC Finland, CPC Germania, started in combining the expertise of wind power pioneers with the ideas of young engineers, technicians and professionals. The result to date has been numerous highly profitable projects.Â
Since 2011 CPC Finland is taking the rich experience to develop locally customized green energy projects – with success. After 6 Years of research and planning, we realized the first of several successful projects. With a pipeline of exceeding 1000 MW we look to the future with confidence and enthusiasm.
