1. Location search and evaluation

Approval of a suitable and approved area for the generation of wind energy depends on many different factors: wind strength, topography (surface characteristics), species protection and emissions (impact on the environment), protected and restricted areas and planning law.

The first step is to identify potential wind farm sites and determine their basic suitability.

2. Conceptual development

Wind farms are complex projects that can only be successfully implemented through meticulous and systematic planning.

We develop individual concepts for potential wind farm sites, taking into account the interests of the owners as well as legal, spatial planning, nature conservation, technical and economic conditions.

3. Land acquisition

A good project needs a solid ground. Therefore, the contractual and real security of land form the decisive basis for the further course of the project.

The focus is on the efficient use of suitable land so that wind turbines can be operated in harmony with agricultural use while requiring little land.

We develop individual, coordinated and fair compensation concepts in an open, transparent process involving all stakeholders. We are also open to individual participation models. Wind energy promises you guaranteed, long-term income.

4. Species protection study

Sustainable energy production requires the preservation of the living beings and ecosystems involved.

From comprehensive studies and expert opinions of independent institutes on the impacts on fauna and flora, protective measures and concept adjustments are derived that minimize negative impacts.

5. Wind and economic calculation

You should know which way the wind blows.

To measure the site-specific wind potential, modern measuring devices are set up at the site or references from nearby wind turbines are used and corrected with long-term measurement data.

From these local wind statistics and the expert opinions of neutral and verified service providers, the achievable yields from wind energy can be determined. They serve as a basis for further optimization, economic planning and financing.

6.Technical engineering/ micrositing

Based on the previous criteria and results for energy yield prognosis, shadow flicker and noise immissions, an optimization of the site planning takes place. These define our set screws to make the best use of local wind conditions.

Efficiently defining the farm layout and choosing the right wind turbines enable improvements in yields and compliance with immission control and technical requirements.

7. Approval procedure

The permitting process is the coordination and compilation of previous work to obtain required building permits. It includes the preparation of development and land use plans as well as the preparation of application documents in accordance with the Federal Immission Control Act. We accompany the approval process with a special focus on nature conservation requirements.

8. Financing

With experienced financial institutions, the economic parameters are evaluated and an ideal, secure financing concept is developed, taking into account all funding conditions. Our focus is on banks with many years of expertise in the renewable energy sector, which have the necessary know-how to manage the prevailing complexity.

These customized business loans are paid off over the life of the project.

9. Acquisition of wind turbines

During the planning and implementation phase, we are in close contact with the leading plant manufacturers in order to be able to realize the project promptly after the building permit has been issued.

Transporting these gigantic components poses difficult challenges for our forwarders on site, which are solved with great care and tact.

10. Construction

Making success visible.

The realization of the wind farm shows the success of the previous painstaking work. It includes the implementation of the necessary infrastructure and the construction of the wind turbines. The measures are carried out with the help of local service providers, who thus participate in the additional economic power.

In order to avoid environmental damage, all work is carried out under the supervision of nature conservation experts.

11. Compensatory and substitute measures

Giving back what has been taken from nature.

The construction of a wind farm represents an intervention in nature, which we would like to keep as low as possible.

As compensation for unavoidable burdens on the environment, we implement compensation and replacement measures developed by experts following the construction of the wind turbines in order to give back to nature what we have claimed from it.

Specifically, these are long-term compensation projects for the promotion of ecosystems in the form of renaturation, planting measures, animal quarters, and much more.

12. Technical Operations

Wind farm projects represent long-term capital investments. We protect the wind turbines by providing comprehensive technical support and always keep track of all technical issues. We ensure proper operation so that the operator can generate the maximum yields from your existing wind turbines.

13. Commercial management

Wind farm projects, as long-term capital investments, require next to technical support comprehensive commercial management to ensure that the full potential of the wind farm is exploited and all contractual matters are fulfilled to the satisfaction of all parties involved. 14. Repowering

Even though wind turbines are designed to last for several decades, after a longer period of operation we check whether it makes economic sense to replace the existing turbines. Accordingly, repowering refers to the complete replacement of older wind turbines with modern, more powerful models in order to make optimum use of existing areas for the generation of renewable energy. We use the existing infrastructure and adapt the wind farm to the new turbines.
