The Lappfjärd wind farm is located near Kristinestad in southwestern Finland.

The project was fully developed by CPC Finland Oy. The realisation/construciton was concluded in cooperation between our CPC Finland Oy and Prime Capital AG. The wind farm was realized with multicontracting approach managed by CPC Finland. The selected turbine manufacturer was Vestas and tje balance of plant contractors were Suvic, Hitachi, Veo and Maarakennus Hautala.

The realization of the project took place in two construction phases, both phases have now been successfully completed.

With a commissioning date of the end of 2022 and a total capacity of 192MW, the implementation of the first construction phase took place in a record time of 18 months. In the process, 31 Vestas V162 6.2MW wind turbines with a hub height of 230m were installed. The realized production capacity equals the electricity consumption of the entire population of the city of Vaasa (approximately 70,000 inhabitants).

The second construction phase increased the total capacity of the wind farm by another 50MW. The number of wind turbines thus increased by eight to a total of 39 Vestas V162 6.2MW. Project implementation was completed on schedule in March 2024.
